How do we submit?
-We can be contacted via Facebook, Twitter, and e-mail via our website’s contact form. During the submission period, we’ll be monitoring those accounts closely and will respond. Using any of these mediums, tell us who you are representing, a download link for the track(s) being submitted (.wav format or .mp3 (320kbps)), and a band photo or artwork.
What is the current submission cut-off?
-That depends on submissions and our insanely enthusiastic management team. We’re aiming for at least 10 tracks per compilation. If all of the planets align and the first 10 artist submissions we get magically sound like an awesome compilation that everyone everywhere should listen to, we’ll make a 2-week cut-off announcement and move forward with this release, and everything received afterwards will be considered for the next. In short, we don’t want to release a compilation that just sounds like “a bunch of songs under an album title” but we also don’t want to hold back sonic perfection. Make sense?
Will free copies ever be sent out, promo or otherwise?
-Only artists featured on the release will get a free copy of said release.
How many tracks can I submit?
-As many as your heart desires. What’s not used on this compilation will be considered for future ones.
What if I want to de-submit a track?
-Let us know as soon as possible before the submission cut-off date of the upcoming compilation.
Released tracks or exclusive tracks only?
-While our preference leans toward exclusive tracks or an alternative version ofan already released track, we will consider all submissions.
-Yep. Right now we don’t really see a huge advantage in physical distribution, even though our management team prefers physical releases. If we even *think* about changing our minds on that, everyone involved will be consulted.
Guidelines and General Info:
-No covers or remixes of another artist’s work
-You must own the rights to the music
-File format can be .wav or high quality .mp3 file (320kbps)
-By submitting to this compilation, you agree to license the song to be sold on this particular release through Bandcamp only, indefinitely. If there ever needs to be a change in digital distribution method, all parties will be contacted and consulted.
-By submitting to this compilation, you also verify that you have the right to do so, and will be held responsible for any and all legal damages if the music is, in fact, under other ownership.
As much as we hate it, some of this HAS to be said.
-We will never distribute free copies or the download links of anything sent to us.
-We will monitor the net for pirated copies of releases.
-If we find that one of the artists on a compilation has been offering up pirated copies, the proceeds from the next compilation might go toward airfare for the artists who have been violated so they can discuss their feelings on the matter (which probably include the words “right in the head and ass”) in person.
